ISACS Members present at La Rue Est Á Amiens
ISACS were in action this June at the annual La Rue est á Amiens, a leading festival of Street Arts in Northern France. Five ISACS members were invited to present their work and did an amazing job of wowing the crowds at a special 'Focus Irlandais'. The selected artists were
• Aidan Phelan & Amélie Bal of Réalta
• Brian O'Connell of Circus Fergus
• Con Horgan of Fanzini Brothers
• Henrik Gard of Circomara
• Michaela Heyer of Funky Fidelma
A big thanks to all the Irish artists who gave it their everything and some more as the photos clearly show. It is so inspiring to see our members being received with such enthusiasm and support from international audiences and how encouraging and rewarding that is for those artists. The beauty of Street Arts, it is a win win situation!
On top of all the action from the ground, and at times the air! ISACS participated in a Round Table Focus group representing Ireland with Lucy Medlycott and Miriam Dunne among a diverse group of international practitioners from Madagascar, Morocco, Colombia, Netherlands and Belgium and facilitated by Floriane Gaber.
A massive thank you to Culture Ireland and La Pole National Cirque et Arts de la Rue for all their support, and with huge thanks to Floriane Gaber and Jean Pierre Marcos for their support and encouragement also and once again to the brilliant talents of our ISACS members for putting on such great performances and doing us proud!
Thank you also to the Irish Arts Council for their continual support of ISCAS work and our members!
